If you're a sysadmin or have every been one, you've got to play this game! Server Mechanic is a flash game about a man and a stubborn server that just won't start. You can play a 1-Player version against time and competing to win free hosting packages, x-box 360's, and a 42' plasma TV, or a 2-Player version to compete in real time against other visitors.

Behind the scenes, the server mechanic is using a ColdFusion MX7 Server and Flash Communication Server 1.5 for the 2-Player game.

I have to admit this is one of the cooler flash based games I have seen in a while, I know one of the guys over there and they said they produced the game in a very small timeframe. BTW Bob, you forgot to mention the coolest prize they are offering, 3 copies of Gears of War every Friday!!

I don't know if this is a scam but I've been in the top 5 for three weeks and they haven't sent me anything. No phone call, no email, nothing. It's an awesome idea with poor execution.

It's definitely not a scam. I actually know the Gate/Affinity guys and they're serious about the giveaways. I'll ping them tomorrow and post back their answers.

Actually, if you look at the rules and regulations, it seems like they will only contact you once the contest over. Nonetheless, I got an email from Affinity today and it seems like they're in the process of contacting the Winners this week.

I was informed that all shirts were being sent this week. Hosting has been taken care off... I have no dates for the games and xbox ... but they're coming.

The game is not supposed to be easy :) ... you can always skip a level, but it will affect your score big time... Now that the sweepstakes are over, they're giving away a bunch of free hosting ...
